Duncan Ramage’s DGR Thoroughbred Services is a Sydney based independent bloodstock agency that believes in the importance of long term relationships and works tirelessly to ensure the experience of its clients is both positive and memorable.
Since our inception in 1990 each of our long term clients has had the pleasure of leading back a G1 winner. In total our clients have won more than 29 G1 races and hundreds of stakes races including including two horses inducted into the Racing Hall Of Fame, several Horse Of The Year and many divisional 3yo year old/filly/older/staying/middle distance champion awards and races won like three Cox Plates, two Melbourne Cups, two Caulfield Guineas, a Caulfield Cup and the Hong Kong Bowl. DGR Thoroughbred Services is a member of the Federation of Bloodstock Agents Australia and operates under its code of ethics.
Born in the UK, Duncan was introduced to the thoroughbred industry from a young age. Riding junior showjumping events such as Hickstead he gained an appreciation for the horse and became an apprentice at 16 where he went on to ride at meetings as varied as Royal Ascot and Bath.
As a young man he gained valuable experience while working with studs, trainers, pinhookers, bloodstock agents, veterinarians and farriers in industries as varied as England, Ireland, North America, Australia and New Zealand before setting up this agency in Australia in 1990.
